Why Nadia Nordin?

My full name is

Nadia Syuhaidah binti Nordin.

But i have a lot of short names that I go by since I was little.

All of those names Have their own reason behind it. 

I can even categories people by the way they call my name. 

This is because at each stage of my life, 

I have different short names

I find it super interesting. 

(It may not be much but these are a lot for me 😀)

1) early childhood 

Kak Di

'Kak Di'

-The reason behind this name-

The one who gonna call me by this name is 

ONLY my big family from my mom's side. 

They called me by this name since i was a kid.

I'm not so sure why they create this name

But surely gonna ask my mum how and why it's happen. 

2) primary school

Nadia 

'Nadia'

they call me Nadia just because my second name is long 😂

and Nadia is easy to say and spell. 

But still some people will put an extra 'H' at the end of my name.

And I hate it sooooo much 

(Dulu kan kanak2 so xmatured, 

simple thing like this pun can make me mad 😂)

3) secondary school

Nadia

'Nadia'

Because this is the name I introduced myself as.

And I've used to people calling me Nadia since primary school 🙈🙈🙈

Syu

'Syu'

I have this one friend, T, 

she's the only person in this world that call me Syu 😍

She said that Syu represent me better than the name Nadia.

Syuhaidah

H

'Syuhaidah'

Some teachers call me by this name 

just because in their circle of life syuhaidah is more familiar than Nadia.

Cat Woman

'Cat woman'

This one is a bit special but also a bit annoying.

Untill now I don't know why people call me by this name.

Is it because of my 'sepet' eyes?

I think there's more reason but I couldn't find the answer.

Plus I HATE this name.

I hate it when people starts to call me by this name.

even after high school ended. 

And pleaseeee don't ever try to call me with this name.

4) college 

Yaya

'Yaya'

This name is given to me by my friend,

A friend that I treasured.

She's a good friend of mine.

Btw she's married now and I'm so happy for her 😍

Ok, back to the name.

One day she messaged me through FB, 

And ask me whether she can call me yaya or not,

And I just say yes because no one ever call me by that name before.

And after that I introduced myself as yaya 

and that name remains.

5) university life

Yaya

Nadia

'Yaya' ----- 'Nadia'

The first time I introduce myself in VUW, 

I told them my full name but without 'binti'. 

And I told them to called me YAYA 

because that's the name I go by since College.

But

most of my international friends call me Nadia.

Because for them it's a lot easier to remember than yaya.

Nadia Oden

'Nadia oden'

Is my instagram name 😍

Oden is derived from my father's name Nordin.

His family call him oden instead of Nordin.

Wak Oden 😍

So I used that name plus it's catchy 😂

Nadia Nordin

'Nadia Nordin'

This is the name that I will use formally in NZ

I don't want to use Oden anymore coz it didn't have meaning.

and I'm proud of my Dad's name. 

Plus it's easier for the people here to write and spell my name this way.
